Become a Nursery Volunteer

Our Nurseries provides a safe, caring space for children ages newborn to 11. Whether they’re here during a family crisis or simply while a parent attends an appointment or takes a much-needed break. As a volunteer, you’ll work one-on-one with children under the guidance of our staff: playing, comforting, and helping keep the nursery a warm and orderly place.

What we’re looking for:

Volunteers age 16+

Can commit to at least 40 hours of service, typically completed over 5–6 months (though longer commitments are always welcome).

Shifts are flexible and scheduled around our nursery hours (Mon–Thu 8am–9pm, Fri 8am–5pm, Sat 4pm–7pm)

Willing to pass a background check with FBI fingerprinting before starting.

Important to Know:

You will need to apply and pay for a background check ($67). We are happy to reimburse this after 40 hours of documented service.

You will need to complete fingerprinting ($12) at a different site. We are happy to reimburse this after 40 hours of documented service.

Orientation is required to start volunteering.
