Prevention and Personal
Safety Presentations

Presentations are made to local community groups and schools in the Alpine, Provo, and Nebo districts. At no cost, essential information is presented to preschool through high school students.

Topics for younger children include a body safety and boundaries presentation that is specifically geared to prevent sexual and physical abuse, and is approved by the Utah State Board of Education. Following the evidence-based curriculum, Play it Safe, safe touch, confusing touch, and unsafe touch are defined. Children are taught what to do if someone touches them where their swimsuit covers and how to stay safe. No detailed or explicit language is used. 5th and 6th graders may also receive depression and suicide prevention or stress management presentations.

Topics for older students or community groups include: dynamics of abuse, dating violence, stress management, depression and suicide prevention, positive child guidance, trauma and resilience, technology and the adolescent brain, and addiction.

Download our free prevention packet to access our body safety presentation outline, resources about abuse prevention, and activities to help you talk to your kids about child abuse, body ownership, and sometimes difficult topics.
